It's important to understand that only the printed and signed version of your Will—signed and witnessed according to your state or territory's requirements—is legally valid. Will Hero allows you to download and print your Will yourself, or we can send you a professionally printed version via registered mail. Once you have the printed document, you must sign it in front of two witnesses (following your state's specific witnessing rules) for it to become legally binding. After signing, you are responsible for storing the original signed Will in a safe, secure location where your executor can access it when needed. When you purchase your Will, you receive 12 months of edit access. This means you can return to Will Hero anytime during that period to review and update your Will as your circumstances change—whether that's a new relationship, a new child, a change in assets, or simply a change of mind. Simply log in, make your changes, and submit your updated Will for review again. Once reviewed and ready, you'll need to print and sign the new Will according to your state or territory's requirements for it to become legally valid.

It's a good practice to review your Will whenever significant life events occur, such as marriage, divorce, the birth of a child, the death of a beneficiary or executor, a significant change in assets, or moving to a different state or territory. Generally, estate planning experts recommend reviewing your Will every 3-5 years, or more frequently if your circumstances change.
